Our Journey
We left on a Thursday and stayed our first night in a sunny, dusty, but fun spot in the Thousand Trails Campground: 24400 Canyon Trail Rd; PO Box 2340, Idyllwild, CA 92549. Huey took some time to get used to things, and the Starlink and Winegard made it feel like a 5-star stay. I slept well, and Judy was up making coffee in the AM.
We made our way over to the Idyllwild Inn and parked out front, and met Dean and Ari to introduce the Condor before we got our Cabins. KC and B were right behind us and we settled in. We walked downtown, watched soccer, and then the Knicks won the championship, followed by a great documentary on stolen Legos!
The next day we hit the pickleball court and pool, ate more great food, and hung out in the cabin with smores. Sunday we hung and chatted and cleaned and the kids headed safely home in the afternoon. Judy and I had a quiet evening and headed home on Monday when I learned to downshift down the mountain. Grateful.
